Payment Gateway in INDIA

If you are planning to take your business to online or If you already have a comerical websites which sell products or services online. Then you must be looking to accept
payment online to increase your customer base

The problem with the startup company is that which internet payment gateway to use on your website. This is a tricky question particularly in the Indian context, as payment gateways available in India do not come cheap and can have issues with reliability as well.
Most payment gateway do not accept the application and takes too many days or sometime months to accept the application .

• Paypal : Paypal is widely used around the world and you will lots of good review about paypal payment gateway on internet. Biggest issue with paypal is that it doesn’t support transactions in Indian Currency, also goverment has put lots of restriction on paypal e.g you can not transfer money from one paypal account to another if both are in INDIA and also since it does not support INDIA currency rupee hence it adds a currency conversion fee on the credit card which is too high .

• CCAvenue : CCAvenue is the most populay payment gateway in INDIA . Offers variety of payment options which no other player come even close. The important think about CCAvenue is that they support Net Banking for almost every Indian Bank. But they the most expensive in the industry. They don’t offer any custom plan other than the ones mentioned on their site, and they don’t negotiate either.Its reliable but too expensive for starter

• EBS : Probably the second best player after ccavenue. The plans are cheaper compared to most payment gateways. They were very responsive when I dropped my phone no on their site and offered me multiple custom plans as well as some discounts. Somehow I didn’t find too many existing clients for this.

• ICICI Payseal : A payment gateway from ICICI, the best part is they offer service to small enterprises as well. If you are reading to pay good amount as startup fee then you can choose better plan. But the issue is that they do not support PHP and require Java integration . Also I have read few bad review about this company as they have stopped Master Card acceptance for some of the clients . ICICI payment gateway uptime is also not very good. .

• Times of Money Direcpay : A relatively newer player in the market. Google Adword use them to recieve money. But they dont respond to the mail and the request. If you are a small player then Times Monet Direcpay is not for you. Only good thing about Direcpay is that they accept NET BANKING payment which is very popular in INDIA

• EBS : Its is as competitive as CCAvenue and little bit cheaper. You can give it a try but the setup time could be in several week and you need to be Patience to integrate their PAYMENT API.
